Job_description_responsibilities:
This position will work in Electronics & Machine System Division - China Electrical & Electronics Team to support specification development, concept, design, analysis, validation, production release and after-production engineering support of Electrical & Electronic control systems solutions for Caterpillar products.
The incumbent will specifically deliver design or virtual solutions according to the requirements provided by systems engineers and work with systems engineers to evaluate, modify, or change design solutions for current product improvement and new product development meeting the critical customer requirements including reliability & durability at or below target product cost and target development cost.
The incumbent will demonstrate strong customer focus by staying current with customer needs as well as new technologies, products, manufacturing & assembly processes/methods.
Required_skills_qualifications:
BS/MS in Electrical/Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering
Design, analysis or test experiences related to machine E&E systems and component development.
Ability to effectively communicate in English in work environment.
Strong initiative, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to conduct multiple projects concurrently.
Control system development knowledge and experience
Desired_skills_qualifications:
Manufacturing, assembly or field support experience related to heavy equipment
Experiences in working w/ suppliers to provide engineering support to purchasing.
System level software development
