job_description_responsibilities:
The candidate will be an experienced mechanical engineer, preferably in diesel engine design and diesel engine application.
This is a new position within the IPSD 1100 series engine product organization in Wuxi, Jiangsu. The engineer willwork on various machine applications for internal customers and OEMs and provide technical support for all engine applications. The engineer will work with the core product group and sales teams in the UK and Shanghai to satisfycustomers application needs. The engineer will be responsible for conducting engine component NPI design and development activities. . The engineer would also be responsible for coordinating all supplier related activities, creating technical specifications, conducting design FMEAs and reviews, validation testing and analysis activities, leading problem resolution activities, providing overall input to the engine component APQP process. The engineer will work with other individuals from design, application, testing and global purchasing.

required_skills_qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (Mechanical or Heavy Equipment Engineering)
- Five or more years of mechanical design experience.
- Proficiency with Solid Modeling software (Pro/E preferred).
- Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, has English level 4 certificate
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team, must have strong organizational abilities

desired_skills_qualifications:
- Design experience on engine systems and/or experience in engine application
- Experience in ProE 2D/3D software
- Design experience on heavy equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Familiarity with APQP process
