Responsibilities
The incumbent will lead a team of 6 to implement CPS Process at CSCL.? This will include improve factory layout and material presentation, optimization of 3rd party provider processes and appropriate material packaging and containerization through the supply chain. This position is accountable for process development and implementation aligned with CPS / MQ Certification, and for improved performance in inventory management, including increasing inventory turns and reducing excess inventory in the facility.

Incumbent will provide leadership, coaching, focus, motivation and encouragement to direct reports.? He/She will be responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of direct reports, including development, capability building and succession planning.? Creating an engaged team that supports Operations and Technical divisions will be critical for this position.

The CSCL Logistic Planning Team will use the CPS Supply Chain material replenishment tools to establish inbound material logistics and movement plans through all activity points on the flow path. This position leads efforts to create a visual workplace for every value stream. The incumbent ensures that standard work is available for lean supply chain processes, including material flow, material replenishment and storage. The incumbent leads efforts to deploy effective communications to resources to support lean material replenishment using Caterpillar’s approved replenishment methods.
