Qualifications
MS in Mechanical/Material Engineering (or related science or engineering degree e.g. Vehicle Engineering, Aerospace Eng, Physics, etc.) or BS with 3+ years work experience
Experience in product design using Pro/Engineer design and analysis tools
Knowledge of structure design and better on steering control parts and mounting parts design (structure mechanics area)
Fluent in English with clear verbal and written communication skills
Strong technical and analytical skills
Demonstrated motivation and teamwork
Desirable Qualifications
Manufacturing and/or assembly experience related to heavy-duty equipments & structures
Experiences in working w/ suppliers to provide engineering support to purchasing.
Structural test and computer validation experience
Responsibilities
This position will work in Cat E&SI-China Design Center Operator Environment & Interface Subsystem & Components Section to develop structure components such as steering control system and mounting parts, which need provide components specification, concept, design, analysis, validation, production release and after-production engineering support for Cat China heavy-duty equipment products.
The incumbent is expected to deliver technical support to other team members for current product improvement and new product development to meet the critical customer requirements including reliability & durability at or below product cost target and development cost target.
The incumbent will also actively participate in component local sourcing efforts in China and component specification documentation services with global purchasing team to identify new opportunities.
The incumbent will demonstrate strong customer focus by staying current with customer needs as well as new technologies, products, manufacturing & assembly processes/methods.
