Qualifications
- MS in Mechanical Eng (or related science or engineering degree e.g. Vehicle Engineering, Aerospace Eng, Physics, etc.) or BS with 2+ years work experience
- Experience in product design using CAD/CAE design and analysis tools
- Knowledge of thermal science (fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer)
- Fluent in English with clear verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Demonstrated motivation and teamwork
Desirable Qualifications
- Manufacturing or metallurgy expertise
- Experiences in using FEA software (Abqus, Ansysis, Ideas, etc) for reliability design
- Knowledge of cooling and aftertreatment component manufacturing techniques
- Knowledge of cooling analysis processes
- Knowledge of diesel engines
Responsibilities
- Develop cooling component or system design in Pro/E including mounts, packaging, installation, etc.
- Identify design scope, special product characteristic, and lessons learned from passed CPI issues with current design.
- Accountable for all design activities including drawing quality, checking, releasing, etc.
- Execute best-practice in design strategies for component life, serviceability, commonality, etc.
- Construct and maintain component and system DFMEA
- Conduct design reviews with supplier and product group
