Responsibilities:

An Engine electronics/electrical system support engineer is needed to work in E&SI-China Design Center Electrical and Electronics team to provide engineering support in the specification development, concept, design, analysis, validation, production release and after-production engineering support of electrical and electronics system solutions for Cat Diesel Engines.
The incumbent is expected to manage and track system NPI & CPI projects to support Caterpillar Diesel engines.
The incumbent is expected to deliver technical support to other team members for current product improvement and new product development meeting the critical customer requirements including reliability & durability at or below target product cost and target development cost.
The incumbent will demonstrate strong customer focus by staying current with customer needs as well as new technologies, products, manufacturing & assembly processes/methods.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

BS/MS in Internal Combustion Engine, Control Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
Excellent organization and communication skills (both English speaking and writing),
Experience working with Electronics/electrical systems and components design,
Experience working with customers and suppliers,
Ability to conduct multiple projects concurrently
Must be a self-motivated team player and desire to work in a team environment.

Desired Job Qualifications:
Familiar with Matlab/Simulink development tools
Knowledge of engine control system development and validation
Familiar with engine tests and associated test equipments
Experience working with fast paced projects including managing schedules, resources and costs is highly desired,
Design, analysis or test experiences related with engine systems and component development
Knowledge of PC tools such as Visio, MSOffice, ProE,
Knowledge of Web-based environment.
