Job Description:
Tooling) Buyer C: This role is responsible and accountable for the development, implementation, and communication of the site(s) strategy for China as well as supporting the global strategy. Will need to recognize the potential for cost and inventory reductions. Will meet with the local Business Units and Global Purchasing Site teams to understand the voice of the Business/Customer. Develop local and global suppliers to ensure that they meet required quality, delivery, and cost expectations. Responsible for managing policies, agreements, source catalogs, and special purchasing programs as well as supporting specific product line NPI programs. Will support the Direct Purchasing organization by developing local sources for tooling.

Requirements:
This position requires an undergraduate degree from a college or univeristy or equivalent experience. A minimum of two years progressively responsible job related experience. Well developed interpersonal skills. Effective communicator (oral and written). Capable of leading teams, suppliers, and customers to effective solutions. Strong negotiator. Self motivated with ability to perform with minimal supervision.

desired_skills_qualifications:
Experience and/or knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes and related tooling. This could include, but is not limited to, the foundry industry, machining, stamping, forging, and molding. Knowledge of cutting tool technology plus experience in such areas as quality, component and/or tooling design, manufacturing, and cost estimating would be extremely benefitial. The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. comments: We are basically looking for a Buyer C candidate with a technical background.
