Job Description:
Major Role - This role is responsible and accountable for developing markets and directing the development, and/or communication and implementation of sourcing strategies in Asia for Facilities and Process Maintenance. Responsible for managing policies, agreements, source catalogs, transactions, pricing and terms, special purchasing programs, and category data accuracy. Accountable for the liaison with the corresponding Strategic/Site based Buyers as well as Facility/Production business partners and process owners.Leadership - Provide leadership for sourcing, logistics and resource management decisions. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and purchasing new facility introduction activities within Purchasing. Demonstrate leadership in recognizing the potential for cost reductions, and quality improvement; as well as responsibility for soundness of business proposals and risk assessment. Mentor and develop other Buyers, SQEs, and Purchasing Analysts (where assigned). Promote the highest level of professionalism and business ethics.Strategy - The incumbent will develop and lead 6 Sigma Strategic Sourcing teams to fully understand the current performance of the supply base, evaluate strategic options, decide a course of action, and begin implementation. The incumbent must also develop strong knowledge of the Facilities and Process Maintenance markets.


Requirements:
The position requires an undergraduate degree from a college or university and a minimum of six years of progressively responsible job-related experience.
* Experience in facilities and process maintenance purchasing or similar is highly valued.
* Negotiation experience.
* Experience developing standard work and associated documentation.
* Familiarity with legal
