job_description_responsibilities:
This position will work in Electronics & Systems Integration Business Unit- China Operator Environment & Interface Team to support specification development, concept, design, analysis, validation, production release and after-production engineering support of Operator Interface and Environment structural systems solutions for Caterpillar products.
The incumbent will specifically deliver design or modeling solutions according to the requirements provided by systems team leader and work with analysts and systems engineers to evaluate, modify, or change design solutions for current product improvement and new product development meeting the critical customer requirements including reliability & durability at or below target product cost and target development cost.
The incumbent will demonstrate strong customer focus by staying current with customer needs as well as new technologies, products, manufacturing & assembly processes/methods.

required_skills_qualifications: BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering
Design, analysis or test experiences related to machine systems and component development.
Ability to effectively communicate in English in work environment.
Strong initiative, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to conduct multiple projects concurrently.
Pro-Engineer knowledge and experience
desired_skills_qualifications: Manufacturing and/or assembly experience related to heavy equipment & structures
Experiences in working w/ suppliers to provide engineering support to purchasing.
Structural test and computer validation experience.
