Responsiblities:

This person is responsible for providing analysis and simulation solutions to LRC and mid-tier product development in China. This position will be in CRDC Wuxi, China, however, will need to station in CRDC Qingdao, China for projects as needed.

The key role of this position is to use analysis and simulation process to validate the design concept as well as improve the designs in terms of reliability, durability and performance of the Caterpillar machine products and major structural systems. The candidate will work closely with the design engineers, machine integration engineers, validation engineers and manufacturing engineers to complete the assignments. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the engineers to creating the virtual models, executing the simulations and conducting design iterations. The candidate will be also responsible for archiving the analysis and simulation results.

Requirements:

Minimum BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, while a M.S. is preferred. This is the second level of engineering assignments where incumbents have gained minimum of 3 years experience, have exhibited ability to begin working independently and have demonstrated ability to apply theory and concept. Must have ability to communicate effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as customers and suppliers

Skillful in engineering analysis using FEA (Finite Element Analysis). Familiar with various engineering analysis and simulation software, including ABAQUS, NASTRAN, HyperWork, CUBIT, IDEAS, ProE, etc. Familiar with basic ProE to simplify the solid geometry and prepare the analysis model.

Experience in design and manufacturing is strong plus. Analysis software experience in ABAQUS and IDEAS is preferred, however, experience in other equivalent engineering analysis software is acceptable
