job_description_responsibilities: 1. Identify, define and quantify product deficiencies
2. Work with other Global Paving departments to achieve effective and timely solutions to product problems. Work with Global Paving and Morton Parts Department to insure parts availability.
3. Prepare data for release of technical information to dealers
4. Participate in NPI programs by coordinating development of Service Publications, managing field follow programs and coordinating with Global Paving and Morton Parts Department on NPI and service programs.
required_skills_qualifications: Education/Experience: BS degree in Engineering, plus a minimum of 3 years experience in heavy equipment engineering.

Knowledge/Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of Caterpillar quality and reliability systems and processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems. Understanding of Paving products and their applications.

Working Conditions: Spends up to 30% of time in the field.

Language: Fluent English and Chinese

desired_skills_qualifications: Working knowledge of Caterpillar product support/technical systems required. Strongly prefer some experience within the Paving Industry, either through internal or external exposure.
