Job Description:



To provide on-site assistance & leadership to Caterpillars supply base in the execution of Quality, Cost, Logistic, Development and Management processes. Also, the implementation of process control and the deployment of a continuous quality improvement process. Ensure that suppliers are able to meet corporate and business unit requirements for certification and quality of purchased material. Unique to the Non-Current Parts Business, must be able to recognize alternative manufacturing solutions to resolve customers needs for service parts, often on an emergency basis.



required_skills_qualifications:

Strong manufacturing process knowledge. Focused primarily on foundry, machine shop and fabrication processes. Technical, mainly print reading, are required.

desired_skills_qualifications: Knowledge of regional certification requirements and registars. General knowledge of Caterpillar and its machine models would be a plus.

comments: Once employee is on staff, a trip to US will probably be required. This could extend for up to two weeks. Goal will be to visit current non-current supply base that has been established. Also to establish working relationship with current on staff PCE.
