job_description_responsibilities: The position of Supplier Collaboration Engineer will be the leader and key communicator for various collaborative product and process development teams to interface with suppliers and purchasing. This position will insure early supplier collaboration relative to design for manufacturability, assembly, and cost. The position leads cost modeling activities that support the setting of target costs to achieve product targets while optimizing value. This position will lead cross functional teams to balance performance, quality, velocity, and cost while providing work direction to cost modelers to develop detail process based cost models. This position identifies the functions needed on each project and makes team member recommendations.

required_skills_qualifications: Bachelors degree in engineering, manufacturing engineering, or industrial technology. Excellent communication skills both oral and written, and the ability to present and make a business case.

desired_skills_qualifications: Previous estimating or supplier development experience. Previous purchasing experience. Previous negotiating experience with the ability to collaborate to a successful conclusion.
