job_description_responsibilities:

1.Evaluates recommended hardware, software, and/or solution changes and their potential impact on the environment and execution results;
2.Works on desktop computer problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions;
3.Under the direction of more experienced staff, assists in the development of major system solution; or infrastructure administration and upgrades.
4.Fully qualified to perform most infrastructure changes without close supervision;
5.Fully knowledgeable of all infrastructure components and/or current operating environment,
6.May perform integration tasks for infrastructure components and/or in-house developed systems and/or purchased software solutions.


required_skills_qualifications:

Requires a relevant degree or certification and/or equivalent experience. The incumbent should be knowledgeable of the current technology in IT, infrastructure requirements, computing hardware and software environments, and current ITSM processes and tools.


desired_skills_qualifications:

In addition, the incumbent should have a good knowledge of Caterpillar policies and procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar’s organization.
